The Atlantic Crossing: A New Chapter for Solar Yachting

November 7, 2025

In November 2025, a Silent 62 3-Deck will depart from Gibraltar to begin an extraordinary voyage: a transatlantic crossing powered by the sun.

For the next several weeks, the crew will navigate more than 3400 nautical miles across the open ocean, relying on the yacht’s advanced solar-electric propulsion system: a proof that long-range, sustainable navigation is not just possible, but already real.

This journey is both a test and a celebration. A test of technology that harvests energy directly from sunlight to cross one of the planet’s most demanding routes. And a celebration of a new way to experience the sea: quiet, self-sufficient, and profoundly connected to nature.

Every sunrise will recharge the yacht’s batteries and the spirit of those on board. From calm days to ocean swells, the SY62 3-Deck will demonstrate the reliability, comfort, and independence that define the Silent Yachts philosophy.

Follow the crossing in the coming days and witness a new chapter in solar-powered yachting unfold — from Europe to the Caribbean, in silence.

  1. Awesome! I dream about owning a Silent 3 deck closed with the owners suite on the third deck. Some day hopefully.
